My Approach
We live in relational systems by design. We often don’t realize the powerful pull of these
systems until something breaks down. When this happens, we feel it; it hurts. That’s where
therapy can help. The goal of therapy is to provide a safe space where we are free to examine
and untangle our relational patterns while considering new ways of speaking, thinking, and
doing that authentically reconnect us to ourselves, each other, and to God.
During college, Laura began her own work of recognizing and untangling some deep patterns in
her life. Intuitively, she saw connections between her family of origin story and her struggles as
a young adult. This awareness caught her attention and redirected the course of her life’s work.
She graduated college with a degree in elementary education and a handful of teaching
interviews, but instead of teaching, she pursued a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
